    Question

    Hello Everyone.
Trying to find out more info on the 2007 Grandfathering of the Ontario Master Electrican certificate,
I understand, that the certification will be required by the year 2007.to do any Electrical work in any city in Ontario.
Is this correct or am I away of base here?

It does not look like any Pre-Masters courses are being offered in the Niagara Area.

6 full Saturdays is the course.

    Cheers

    Re: Master Electrician

    Hi there,

You’re a bit off on the details. The Ontario Master Electrician (ME) certificate has long been required to operate an electrical contracting business in the province. Anyone doing electrical work independently must either hold a Master Electrician license or work under one.

If you are also looking for an electrician in Houston, it’s important to remember that licensing requirements vary by region, so rules in Ontario won’t apply there. There wasn’t a specific “grandfathering” in 2007 for this certification, though transitional rules may have applied for certain electricians at the time.

For the most accurate information, you can check with the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA).
